How to organize PDF pages

  1. Select Choose file or drop a PDF on the page. Every page appears as a thumbnail.
  2. Drag pages to reorder them (on a phone or tablet, press briefly, then drag). Select several with Ctrl/⌘-click or Shift-click to move them together. Without dragging, the Move earlier and Move later buttons shift the selected pages one place at a time.
  3. Use the toolbar buttons Rotate left, Rotate right and Delete on the selected pages (or on the focused page when none is selected). Undo and Redo step through every change.
  4. Select Save PDF, then Download PDF. The new file is named after the original, for example report-organized.pdf; the original file isn’t changed.

What happens to your pages

Pages are copied into a new PDF in the order you set, with their text, images and annotations. Rotation is stored as page rotation, so it’s exact and lossless: nothing is redrawn or recompressed. Thumbnails are drawn only for the pages you can see, which keeps documents with hundreds of pages responsive.

Because the result is a new document, bookmarks and the original’s title and author are not kept, even for pages you didn’t touch.

Troubleshooting

  • “A PDF needs at least one page, so every page can’t be deleted.” Deselect at least one page before you select Delete.
  • A thumbnail keeps spinning. The preview couldn’t draw that page. You can still move, rotate and delete it, and it is copied into the new PDF unchanged.
  • “… is password-protected.” Organize PDF can’t open encrypted files. Save an unprotected copy from a PDF reader that knows the password, then choose that copy.
  • “… couldn’t be read.” The file is damaged or didn’t finish downloading. Get a fresh copy and try again.

How your data stays private

Everything happens in your browser, on your device. Your files and text are never uploaded, never stored, and never put in the address bar.

  • The site’s security policy (connect-src 'self') tells your browser to block any attempt by the page to send data to another server.
  • Only your preferences, such as the theme and a tool’s last-used options, are saved in your browser’s local storage. Never your content.
  • To check it yourself, open your browser’s developer tools, select the Network tab, and use the tool: no request carries your data.

There is no account, no sign-up and no watermark. After your first visit, pages open without a connection; a tool’s larger parts, such as the PDF and image engines, are saved the first time you use it, so it works offline from then on.

Frequently asked questions

How do I rearrange pages in a PDF?

Choose the PDF, then drag a page thumbnail to its new place (on a phone or tablet, press briefly, then drag). To move several pages at once, select them with Ctrl/⌘-click or Shift-click and drag one of them. With the keyboard, select a page and press Ctrl (⌘ on a Mac) with an arrow key, or use the Move earlier and Move later buttons.

How do I rotate a single page?

Select the page and choose Rotate left or Rotate right, or press R (Shift+R rotates left). Each press turns the page 90°. Rotate several pages at once by selecting them first.

How do I delete pages from a PDF?

Select the pages and choose Delete, or press the Delete key. A PDF needs at least one page, so the last page can’t be deleted. Undo (Ctrl+Z) brings deleted pages back, and your original file is never changed.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Thumbnails are drawn and the new PDF is built in your browser, on your device. The file is never uploaded or stored, and the site’s security policy blocks the page from sending data to other servers.

Does it work with large PDFs?

Yes. Only the thumbnails you can see are drawn, so documents with hundreds of pages stay responsive. Files up to 500 MB work on computers and up to 150 MB on phones and tablets; above 100 MB (50 MB on phones and tablets) saving may be slow.
