How to resize or crop images

  1. Select Choose files or drop your images on the page.
  2. Choose the Mode. Resize: pick a preset, or enter a width and height in pixels or a percentage. Crop: choose an aspect ratio and drag the crop area.
  3. Select Resize image or Crop image, then download each image or all of them as one ZIP file.

Options

Preset
“Custom size” (1920 px wide by default), 3840, 1920 or 1280 wide, or 1080 × 1080 square post, 1080 × 1350 portrait post, 1080 × 1920 story, 1200 × 630 link preview and 1500 × 500 header banner.
Keep proportions
On by default: one side is enough, the other follows (rounded to the nearest pixel). With both sides set, “Fit inside” keeps the whole image within the box; “Fill and crop” fills it exactly, trimming the edges evenly. Presets with both sides start on Fill and crop. With Keep proportions off, images are stretched to exactly the size entered.
Percentage
From 1% to 400%; 50% by default.
Don’t enlarge
On by default: images are never scaled up, because enlarging only makes them blurry. An image smaller than the target keeps its size (with Fill and crop, it is still trimmed to the shape).
Crop
Free or a fixed aspect ratio (1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 3:2, 9:16). Drag the area or its corners; with the keyboard, arrow keys move it, Shift + arrow keys resize it, and Alt makes the steps bigger. Each image can be cropped separately: select the eye button next to it in the list. Cropping doesn’t scale the image.
Format and quality
“Same as input” by default, or JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. JPG, WebP and AVIF are saved at quality 85 unless you change it. Transparent areas turn white in JPG.

Sharp results

Images are scaled with Lanczos resampling, a high-quality method common in photo editors, so downsized images stay crisp. Photos taken sideways are turned upright first, so widths, heights and crops apply to the photo as you see it. The saved images carry no location, camera or date details.

Formats and limits

Input
JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF. For an animated PNG or WebP, only the first frame is used.
Size
Up to 100 MB per image and 50 images at a time, and up to 120 megapixels per image (50 on phones and tablets).
Output
Named after the original with -resized or -cropped added, e.g. photo-resized.jpg; several images also as one ZIP.

Troubleshooting

  • “(not enlarged)” after the sizes. The image is already smaller than the size you asked for. Turn off Don’t enlarge to scale it up anyway.
  • The result has a different shape than the size you entered. With Fit inside, the whole image is kept, so one side can come out shorter. Choose Fill and crop for the exact size.

How your data stays private

Everything happens in your browser, on your device. Your files and text are never uploaded, never stored, and never put in the address bar.

  • The site’s security policy (connect-src 'self') tells your browser to block any attempt by the page to send data to another server.
  • Only your preferences, such as the theme and a tool’s last-used options, are saved in your browser’s local storage. Never your content.
  • To check it yourself, open your browser’s developer tools, select the Network tab, and use the tool: no request carries your data.

There is no account, no sign-up and no watermark. After your first visit, pages open without a connection; a tool’s larger parts, such as the PDF and image engines, are saved the first time you use it, so it works offline from then on.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize without losing quality?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp: the tool uses Lanczos resampling, which keeps edges crisp. Enlarging can’t add detail that isn’t there, so Don’t enlarge is on by default. Keep PNG images as PNG, or use quality 85 or higher for JPG.

How do I resize for Instagram without cropping?

Choose a preset such as 1080 × 1350 portrait post, then switch Fit from Fill and crop to Fit inside: the whole photo is kept and scaled to fit within that size. Fill and crop, the preset’s starting choice, fills the exact size instead, trimming the edges evenly.

Can I resize to exact pixels or a percentage?

Both. Enter a width, a height or both in pixels; with Keep proportions on, a single side is enough and the other follows. Or switch Resize by to Percentage, from 1% to 400%; for example 50% for half the width and height.

How do I make a photo smaller in KB?

Reducing the pixel size is the most effective way: a photo resized from 4000 to 1920 pixels wide keeps under a quarter of its pixels, so the file is usually far smaller. For even smaller files, use Compress Image as well.

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes, up to 50 at a time, with the same settings for all. With Keep proportions on, each image keeps its own shape unless you choose Fill and crop. Download them one by one or all as a ZIP file. In Crop mode you can adjust the crop of each image separately.
